Overview

In recent years shopping via the internet has become huge, mainly due to its convenience factor. In fact it is so popular that in 2014 out of the entire U.S population 78% of people 15 and over ordered online. Not surprisingly, the age group spending the most online is the millennials. Millennials, those between the ages of 18 to 34, spend approximately $2,000 yearly online shopping.

·      In 2014 87% of men and 86% of women were using the Internet

·      In 2014, 97% of users were between 18-29 years old, 93% were 30-49, 88% were 50-64, and 57% were 65+.

·      The average amount of time that users spend on the Internet each day through a desk top or lap top is 5 hours and 13 minutes

·      The average amount of time that users spend on mobile internet is 2 hours and 25 minutes
