Traditional marketing includes newspaper ads, television commercials, flyers and radio ads. Since this method is not digital, it is difficult to measure your return on investment. How can you tell if the customer that just came through the door heard the radio advertisement? Maybe they saw your ad in the local paper. It’s really hard to tell – even if you ask them. You really have no way of telling exactly who is seeing your ads, how often or if at all. There is usually a distinctive phone number or e-mail for people to contact, but even still that does not give you an accurate number.

It becomes very tough to figure out how much you’re actually saving or earning by advertising in the traditional method.
